RTA announces new minimum top-up amount for NOL cards Starting 15 January, all NOL card users will be required to comply with the updated minimum top-up amount.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Friday a revised minimum top-up requirement for NOL cards, set at $5.45 (AED20).
“RTA introduces a new NOL card top-up requirement starting January 15, 2024, at the ticket office for just AED20. Seamlessly obtain or top up a #nol card and embark on your journeys smoothly,” the authority said on X, (formerly Twitter).
The maximum value for an anonymous NOL card is capped at $273 (AED1,000). Meanwhile, registered individual cards can hold up to $1,362 (AED5,000).

NOL cards can be topped up using multiple channels, including the RTA’s website and smart apps, solar top-up machines, ticket office machines, ticket vending machines, NOL Pay application for both virtual cards and physical cards, and Mahboub Chatbot.
